Review: In today’s market, there are so many contractors to choose from for any job you need done. All of them are tying to gain your business, and many of them will tell you all kinds of things in order to get as much money from you as possible. This can make it hard to find the ones that truly stand above the rest. Those that will give you a personalized, honest, and fair assessment of work that is needed and costs. This was our experience when looking for the right people to do our foundation work. I had multiple companies come out and assess my property to get estimates, and each one gave me wildly different assessments of what work I needed to have done, and what it would cost. Not knowing much about foundation work, I was not happy with the inconsistencies I was getting.Enter Dodson Foundation Repair. I called to schedule a no cost estimate and expected more of what I had gotten: a random salesperson trying to diagnose my issues and sell as much work as they possibly could at the same time. This is where I got everything I was not expecting. I answered the door to find that the owner, Tom Dodson and his VP Misty came to do the inspection. He told me he could tell my property was in need of work just by looking as he walked up the driveway. But he didn’t stop there, he took me around as he conducted the inspection, and pointed out exactly what he saw and why it mattered. Suffice it to say our needs were more complicated than a standard inspection. Nonetheless, Tom explained everything he found, and explained how everything works structurally. His assessment was straightforward and his prices were fair and competitive. I could tell his assessment came from his experience, and not trying to sell me everything he could. What’s more, he told me he does all inspections personally. I knew I could trust him and his crew to not only do the work, but do it right and not clean me out doing it.Fast forward to the day of the work, the crew was on time and very efficient. They worked all day but were able to complete the work in a day. They took pictures of all my landscaping before the work and made sure to replace it exactly like it was when they finished. They were up front that some of the bushes may or may not survive, but so far they have survived the transplant well. They cleaned up the work area very thoroughly after the finished and it looks like they were never here. Communication with Tom and Misty was outstanding throughout the process and they were completely transparent.A house is one of the largest investments one will make in life, and it’s huge relief knowing that even in this fast and furious crazy market, there are still companies out there who strive to “do it the right way”I cannot recommend Dodson Foundation Repair enough!! Well done!
